Some of the reviews say this book has errors。 I'm not sure if the one I have is a different version, but Calcium and Carbon are correct。 We just received it for Christmas, so maybe it's been revised。Edit: Confirmed through Amazon that this is a revised version; the typo has been fixed。 Some of the reviews say this book has errors。 I'm not sure if the one I have is a different version, but Calcium and Carbon are correct。 We just received it for Christmas, so maybe it's been revised。Edit: Confirmed through Amazon that this is a revised version; the typo has been fixed。 。。。more

This isn't really 'for babies', but I do think my 10 month old likes hearing mum/dad's voice(s) read this to him and he's attracted to the illustrations。 I think this is a good book to help pre-schoolers (and upwards) start to understand the amazing universe we live in。 This isn't really 'for babies', but I do think my 10 month old likes hearing mum/dad's voice(s) read this to him and he's attracted to the illustrations。 I think this is a good book to help pre-schoolers (and upwards) start to understand the amazing universe we live in。 。。。more

I would have given the book 1 star because of the errors。 As others mentioned the book incorrectly labeled calcium as carbon。 My son seems to enjoy the book despite these erros and likes the sun。。。

Cute book introducing kids to some fascinating concepts。 Atoms, stars and their role in creating elements that exist in our world and even in our bodies。 My seven-week old listened pretty well the first time we read it。

Adorable educational board book for babies that doesn't assume young ones can't learn or be curious about advanced topics in accessible ways。 Adorable educational board book for babies that doesn't assume young ones can't learn or be curious about advanced topics in accessible ways。 。。。more

I was hoping to like this because I really love the Baby Loves Science! series, but this one reads more like a list of facts with no real context to make it interesting to the baby。

Rosalind Andrews

Less engaging than Quantum Physics for Babies。

Jeremy

This was easier to understand than the others in this series。

Sai Rahul Poruri

I bought this as a gift to a nephew and flipped through the pages before gifting it。 It was concise, beautiful and informative。

I think these are really cute and a great way to learn about Physics。 For your children these are marvelous。

I am far from a scientist。 But you know when I ran into a series of books including “Astrophysics for Babies” and “Statistical Physics for Babies”, I had to check them out。 AND I FOUND ERRORS IN BOTH。 This is super frustrating。 They are board books。 Like ten pages long。 I am not a scientist, and I easily spotted both errors。 The series could be adorable。 But it is more important that it is accurate。 They are not minor errors that have nothing to do with the topic。 They are errors actually concer I am far from a scientist。 But you know when I ran into a series of books including “Astrophysics for Babies” and “Statistical Physics for Babies”, I had to check them out。 AND I FOUND ERRORS IN BOTH。 This is super frustrating。 They are board books。 Like ten pages long。 I am not a scientist, and I easily spotted both errors。 The series could be adorable。 But it is more important that it is accurate。 They are not minor errors that have nothing to do with the topic。 They are errors actually concerning what the books are about。 I struggled in high school chemistry and dropped out physics, and I saw them。 Really disappointing。Ca (20), calcium, is labeled as carbon in the astrophysics one。 In the Statistical Physics one, there is an incorrect picture if probability - two boxes have a blue and a purple on the right。 There isn’t one with purple and orange。 。。。more

Simple explanations of complex ideas FOR YOUR FUTURE GENIUS! As an adult I think these series of books by Chris Ferrie are a brilliant concept。 As far as execution, I can't say if anyone could raise the next Einstein, Marie Curie, or Stephen Hawking off of this collection。 I can't judge how well a child processes the information since I don't have kids of my own。 Stardust is one of my favorite Neil Gaiman books (one of the only Neil Gaiman books I've ever read to be honest。) Anyhow, Astrophysics Simple explanations of complex ideas FOR YOUR FUTURE GENIUS! Super cute! I learned some stuff, which is always nice。 I kind of loved that it was aimed at babies and even had a baby's picture in it, while at the same time kind of wished it said for babies and toddlers to include the set that might actually get something out of the text and encourage parents to keep it around for a couple of years。 That said, adorable, informational, and I want more。 Super cute!
